2013 ASSOCIATION OF STATE DAM SAFETY OFFICIALS (ASDSO) CONFERENCE
ECM Consultants, Inc. recently served as a bronze level sponsor for the 2013 Association of State Dam Safety Officials(ASDSO) National Conference held September 8-12 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, RI. This annual conference is one of the leading conferences in the United States devoted to dam safety engineering and technology transfer. ECM's Dr. Babak Naghavi, P.E., P.H., represented the firm at the conference.
During the past five years, ECM has provided safety inspections for an average of 200 privately and publicly owned dams per year throughout Louisiana as part of the Louisiana Dam Safety Program for Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD). The inspection are performed in accordance with the Lousiana Dam Safety Program to make certain that public safety is not compromised by the presence of dams, and to minimize potential hazards to downstream life and property in the event of a dam failure.
